Stop Losing Yourself in Your Relationships…
At Mindfully Me Mental Health Counseling, our mission is to help adults who struggle with anxiety, people-pleasing, unhealthy relationship patterns, low self-esteem, and difficulty setting healthy boundaries. Through virtual therapy, we help clients build healthier relationships, reduce anxiety, and develop greater confidence in themselves.
Do you constantly worry about disappointing others? Find yourself saying "yes" when you really want to say "no?" Maybe you overthink conversations, avoid conflict, seek reassurance, or feel responsible for everyone else's happiness. You may feel emotionally exhausted from always putting others first while your own needs go unmet. These experiences are common for individuals struggling with anxiety and people-pleasing. Over time, constantly prioritizing others can lead to chronic stress, burnout, resentment, low self-worth, and relationship difficulties. You may recognize that your relationships feel one-sided or emotionally draining but feel unsure how to create healthier patterns.
Our approach to therapy helps you understand why these patterns developed while giving you practical tools to create lasting change. Together, we'll work to manage anxiety, improve communication skills, establish healthy boundaries, increase self-esteem, and strengthen your confidence in relationships. Therapy is a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can explore your experiences, process difficult emotions, and learn to prioritize your own needs without guilt or shame.
Imagine this…
Imagine trusting yourself instead of constantly second-guessing your decisions. Imagine communicating your needs clearly, setting healthy boundaries without overwhelming guilt, and feeling confident saying "no" when something doesn't align with your values. Rather than feeling anxious about keeping everyone else happy, you begin building relationships based on mutual respect, honest communication, and emotional safety.
As your confidence grows, anxiety becomes more manageable, relationships become more balanced, and you no longer feel responsible for carrying everyone else's emotional well-being. You begin making choices based on what feels right for you instead of fear, obligation, or the need for approval.
Whether you're struggling with relationship anxiety, people-pleasing, codependent patterns, low self-esteem, or difficulty setting boundaries, you don't have to navigate these challenges alone.
At Mindfully Me Mental Health Counseling, we're committed to helping you create healthier relationships, build lasting confidence, and develop the emotional resilience needed to feel more authentic, balanced, and fulfilled and create a life that feels more aligned, meaningful, and truly your own.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy is an evidence-based treatment designed to help your brain heal from distressing life experiences that continue to affect your thoughts, emotions, relationships, and nervous system. At Mindfully Me Mental Health Counseling, we offer virtual EMDR therapy for adults struggling with anxiety, people-pleasing, low self-esteem, unhealthy relationship patterns, relational trauma, and difficulty setting healthy boundaries.
Many people know what they need to do—set boundaries, stop overthinking, trust themselves more—but still find themselves repeating the same patterns. That's because these patterns are often rooted in earlier life experiences that taught you your needs weren't as important, conflict wasn't safe, or your worth depended on keeping others happy. EMDR helps address these experiences at their source, allowing your brain to reprocess them so they no longer carry the same emotional intensity or influence your present-day life.
Unlike traditional talk therapy alone, EMDR uses bilateral stimulation (such as guided eye movements or tapping) to help your brain naturally process unresolved memories and beliefs. As these experiences are reprocessed, many clients notice a reduction in anxiety, emotional reactivity, and self-doubt while developing healthier, more adaptive beliefs about themselves and their relationships.
EMDR therapy may be beneficial if you experience:
Chronic anxiety or excessive worry
People-pleasing and difficulty saying "no"
Low self-esteem or feelings of not being "good enough"
Fear of conflict, rejection, or abandonment
Relationship trauma or emotionally unhealthy relationship patterns
Perfectionism and harsh self-criticism
Distressing memories that continue to affect your daily life
Every EMDR treatment plan is personalized to your goals, history, and readiness. Before beginning trauma reprocessing, we focus on building emotional regulation skills, strengthening coping strategies, and ensuring you feel safe and prepared throughout the process. EMDR follows a structured, evidence-based treatment approach designed to build upon each session. Most clients participate in weekly sessions during the active phases of treatment, allowing for consistent progress while ensuring adequate support throughout the healing process. Your treatment plan will be personalized based on your goals, readiness, and clinical needs.
Our goal is to help you move beyond simply managing symptoms. Through EMDR therapy, you'll have the opportunity to heal the experiences that have shaped your anxiety and relationship patterns, strengthen your sense of self, and build healthier, more fulfilling relationships rooted in confidence, authenticity, and emotional security.
